This topic explains how to create a new transaction fee rule.
A transaction fee rule is comprised of the following definitions:
Target: Who is the transaction fee targeted at.
Parameters: The transaction fee event, and criteria for applying the transaction fee.
Description: The transaction fee description, which is created in Setup - Definitions - Transaction Fee Description
Selling Channel: The website configurations in which the transaction fee rules is applied (only relevant for Open new individual travel file and Credit Card Usage).
Amount: The amount or percentage of the transaction fee, including currency, minimum and maximum fees and after hour supplements.
Transaction fee description: You need a description for the transaction fee rule to display in the Reservations System.
Working days and hours: If you want to create a supplement fee for services offered after office hours, you need to make sure that the working days and hours are defined.
Miscellaneous transaction fee labels: Miscellaneous transaction fees are manual transaction fees whose event name is defined in the database definitions, allowing you to customize the name of the event for which a service is created, such as 24/7 Service, or Special Delivery.
Go to Business Rules – Transaction Fee Policy.
Click New Item.
The New item page is displayed.
Select the target of the transaction fee rule.
Select a description for the transaction fee rule.
For Open new individual travel fee and Credit card usage, select whether the transaction fee can also apply to the B2B and B2C selling channels - in addition to the B2E selling channel.
Define the transaction fee amounts.
