Creating a new static package

This topic explains how to create a new static package.

A new static package is created using the following three tabs:

Details: Includes general and descriptive information regarding the static package.
Services: Details the various services included in the static package.
Prices: Displays the cost price of the static package and the selling price (cost plus markup percentage) of the static package. For single destination packages, the tab also includes the price for additional nights (if additional nights are permitted). The prices are calculated according to the information entered in the preceding two tabs and the markup percentage defined in the Prices tab.

Contracts: You need a contract for each component, you want to include in the static package.
Hotel price components: Each hotel price component in the hotel contract must be associated with the package price component. This is defined in Setup - Product Definitions - Price Components.

Description file/pictures: These are the images and description information you want to display in the Reservations System.

A New item page opens in the Details tab.

Mandatory. In the General expander, in the Name field, enter the name of the static package.

The name can include a maximum of 35 characters.

If required, add flights to the static package - from an internal contract or a GDS.
Add accommodations to the static package.
If required, add additional services to the static package.
Add markup to create the selling price of the static package.
If required, edit the price list of the static package.
