Setup - Definitions - Travel File Attributes

A travel file attribute is a term that can be assigned to a travel file. This attribute, a characteristic of the travel file, is used to retrieve travel files and filter reports.

Only one travel file attribute can be assigned to a travel file.

Examples: Golf, Excursion, Ski, Special

To search for an existing travel file attribute

  1. Go to SetupDefinitions - Travel File Attributes.

  2. In the Travel File Attribute field, enter part (first letters) or all of the travel file attribute name.

  3. Click Find.

    Travel file attributes matching the search criterion are displayed in the results section.

To add a new travel file attribute

  1. Go to SetupDefinitions - Travel File Attributes.

  2. Click Click here to add a new travel file attribute.

  3. In the Travel File Attribute field, enter the travel file attribute name.

  4. Click to save the new travel file attribute or to revert.

To edit an existing travel file attribute

  1. Locate the travel file attribute you want to edit as described above.

  2. Click the travel file attribute name.

    The name is highlighted.

  3. Edit the travel file attribute name as required.

  4. Click to save or to revert.

To copy an existing travel file attribute

  1. Locate the travel file attribute you want to copy as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the travel file attribute name.

    A new travel file attribute is created with the following name:

    [Name of original travel file attribute] [duplicate number in current session]

  3. Edit the name of the new travel file attribute.

  4. Click to save or to revert.

To delete an existing travel file attribute

You cannot delete travel file attributes which are currently in use in a travel file.

  1. Locate the travel file attribute you want to delete as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the travel file attribute name.

    The following message is displayed:

  3. Click Yes to delete.

To assign a travel file attribute to a travel file

  1. In the travel file header click Travel File Control - General Info.

  2. In the Attribute field, select the relevant travel file attribute from the drop-down list.

  3. Using Setup - Website Definitions - Content - Services - [Service Name], a travel file attribute can be assigned by default to every travel file created for the relevant service.

    A default travel file attribute can be defined only for the following services: Activity, Car, Flight, General, and Hotel

    A travel file attribute associated with a self operation tour will also be associated with all travel files containing a reservation for this tour.

  4. A travel file attribute associated with a static package will also be associated with all travel files containing a reservation for this package.
