A service attribute is a term that can be associated with a service in the system.

The service attribute can be used for the following purposes:

  1. A service attribute can be linked to an internal hotel contract, or a service type sold by a supplier and then be used as an advanced search parameter in the Reservation System.

  2. A service attribute can be used for defining a sub-system (Setup - Website Definitions - Content - Services - Sub-system).

Examples of service attributes: spa, country house, youth hostel, bed & breakfast inn.

To search for an existing service attribute

  1. Go to Setup – Product Definitions - Service Attributes.

  2. Use one or both of the following search parameters:

    Field

    Description

    Service Attribute

    Enter part (first letters) or all of the service attribute name.

    Service Type

    Select the service type associated with the service attribute from the drop-down list.

  3. Click Find.

    Service attributes matching the search criteria will be displayed in the results section.

To add a new service attribute

  1. Go to Setup – Product Definitions - Service Attributes.

  2. Click Click here to add a new service attribute.

  3. In the Service Attribute field, enter the service attribute name.

  4. In the Service Type field, select the service type to associate with the service attribute from the drop-down list.

  5. Click to save the new service attribute or to revert.

To edit an existing service attribute

  1. Locate the service attribute you want to edit as described above.

  2. Click the service attribute name.

    The name is highlighted.

  3. Edit the service attribute details as required.

  4. Click to save or to revert.

To copy an existing service attribute

  1. Locate the service attribute you want to copy as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the service attribute name.

    A new service attribute is created with the following name:

    [Name of original service attribute] [duplicate number in current session]

  3. Edit the details of the new service attribute.

  4. Click to save or to revert.

To delete an existing service attribute

  1. Locate the service attribute you want to delete as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the service attribute name.

    The following message is displayed:
