The Automatic Messages tab is used for creating and viewing automatic text and e-mail messages. You can create separate messages for each customer user interface language.
E-mail messages are sent using custom XSL files uploaded into the system. The content of the text messages is defined in the module.
Automatic messages can be defined for the following events:
External system reservations unconfirmed: The message will be sent each time a booking created through OP_SET_PAXFILE has a status that is not OK. With e-mail messages, the itinerary is sent as an attachment.
All transactions confirmed: The message will be sent when a transaction is added to a travel file or the status of a transaction changes in a travel file, and the status of all transactions in the travel file is OK. The system does not look at quote, proposal and remark transactions, cancelled transactions and informative flights. With e-mail messages, the itinerary is sent as an attachment.
Receipt issued: The message will be sent when a receipt is issued in the travel file. With e-mail messages, the receipt is sent as an attachment.
Send documents: The message is sent when a user marks a travel file as completed.
Flight schedule change: The message is sent when the details of a flight transaction from a GDS are changed. This message can also be manually sent to self-operation flight passengers after making a change to the flight details.
Automatic messages are sent to all passengers in the travel file except for Receipt issued messages. Receipt issued messages are sent to the receipt beneficiary. The phone number used is the passengers Mobile Phone number. If there is no Mobile Phone, the message is sent to the Main Phone number.
Automatic messages are not sent for proposal travel files.
After the automatic message is sent, a communication record is created in the travel file. If attachments were sent, they are added to the communication record.
The content of both automatic and manual messages can contain specific strings which are replaced with travel file and transaction data. For example, "Dear {First name} {Last name} becomes "Dear Allan Banks."
