After defining the self-operation flight's general details in the Information tab, the Classes tab is used to manage the seats and flight profit in a self-operated flight (and the classes defined for them).
The actions that can be executed in this tab for a self operated flight with the Profit Mechanism are:
Buying seats on a self-operated flight with the Profit Mechanism
Buying additional seats in the same class of the self-operated flight with the Profit Mechanism
Selling seats on the self-operated flight to a travel agent (charter flight operator)
Returning unsold seats (bought by your company) to the supplier
Returning unsold seats (sold to a travel agent) to your company

A self operation flight without the profit mechanism is used in cases you receive from the airline a seat allocation (usually for operating tours or packages) without any commitment. You pay the airline only for the seats you actually sell.
After defining the self-operation flight's general details in the Information tab, the Classes tab is used to manage the seats in a self-operated flight (and the classes defined for them). The actions that can be executed in this tab are:

Click Click here to add new seats.
The Add Seats dialog box is displayed.
In the Properties section, define the seats' properties:
Mandatory. In the Supplier field, select the supplier of the self-operated flight from the drop-down list.
The flight supplier can be a different supplier than the flight carrier. |
Mandatory. In the Class field, enter the class letter for the seats.
In the Seats field, enter the number of seats bought from the supplier.
In the Maximum WL field, enter the maximum number of seats that can be put on the waiting list.
In the Pricing section, define the pricing of the seat:
In the Currency field, select the currency of the seat buying price from the drop-down list.
In the Price field, enter the supplier's price for the seat.
In the Tax field, enter the airport tax amount paid to the supplier for the seat.
If the tax is per person, select Tax per person.
In the Buy Mode, choose between Commitment and Allotment.
In the Payment due field, enter the due date of the payment to the supplier.
In the Rules section, define the relevant rules to be applied to seats in this class:
In the Hub field, select the hub of the flight from the drop-down list.
In the Min. days and Max. days fields, define the minimum number and maximum number of days that must exist between the flight's departure and return.
If the seats in this class are part of a static package or self-operated tour, select Cannot be sold as stand-alone.
Not Stand-alone classes are displayed in the Flight Query, if the flag Display not Standalone classes is checked there. Only B2E users with the Display price package button in travel file permit can see this flag. |
If you want only a specific travel agent to be able to sell seats in the class, in the Agent field, select the travel agent to associate with the class.
If seats in this class can be sold via the B2B and B2C selling channels, select the Enable sell for B2B and B2C check box.
In the Remark field, if required, enter an internal remark.
Click OK.
The seats are added to the self-operated flight.
Click the triangle at the end of the class row to see the specific details of the seats.

This action is executed once an initial quantity of seats has been purchased from a supplier.

seats.
The Buy Seats dialog box is displayed.

Seats are added to the existing class.
This action can be executed only after an initial quantity of seats has been purchased from a supplier.

in the row of the relevant class, and select Sell
seats to travel agent/c. client.
The Sell Seats From A Class dialog box is displayed.
Define the seat properties:
Mandatory. In the Agent field, select the travel agent you are selling the seats to.
Mandatory. In the Class field, enter the class letter representing the group of seats sold to the travel agent.
This class letter must be different than the class letter of the original group of seats. |
In the Seats field, enter the number of seats sold to the travel agent.
In the Maximum WL field, enter the maximum number of seats that can be put on the waiting list.
Define the price of the seat:
In the Currency field, select the currency of the seat price from the drop-down list.
In the Price field, enter the price of the seat charged to the travel agent.
In the Tax field, enter the tax amount (for the seat) charged to the travel agent.
In the Remark field, if required, enter an internal remark.
Click OK.
The seats sold are subtracted from the number of seats in the original class and a new class is created for the seats sold to the travel agent.
This action can be executed only after an initial quantity of seats has been purchased from a supplier.
Click the Plus

in the row of the relevant class, and select Transfer
seats for internal use.
The Transfer Seats From [Class Letter] Class dialog window is displayed.
Define the seat properties:
Mandatory. In the Class field, enter the class letter representing the group of seats transferred for internal use.
This class letter must be different than the class letter of the original group of seats. |
In the Seats field, enter the number of seats transferred.
In the Maximum WL, enter the maximum number of seats that can be put on the waiting list.
In the Hub field, select the hub of the flight from the drop-down list.
In the Min. days and Max. days fields, define the minimum number and maximum number of days that must exist between the flight's departure and return.
Select the Cannot be sold as stand-alone check box if the seats in this class are used with a static package or self-operated tour.
In the Agent field, select the travel agent to associate with this class. If defined, only this travel agent will be able to sell the seats in this class.
Select the Enable sell for B2B and B2C check box if seats in this class can be sold via the B2B and B2C selling channels.
In the Remark field, if required, enter an internal remark.
You can return unsold seats to a supplier, a travel agent can return unsold seats to your company, or you can return seats to a class from which they were originally transferred.
Locate the class from which seats should be returned.
Click the triangle at the end of the class row to see the specific details of the class.
Click the Minus

n the row from which seats will be returned.
Note that the seats in a specific class may have been purchased from more than one supplier. |
The Return seats to supplier dialog box is displayed.
In the Seats field, enter the number of seats to return.
In the Currency field, select the currency of the seat price from the drop-down list.
In the Price field, enter the supplier's price for the seat.
In the Tax field, enter the tax amount.
In the Remark field, if required, enter an internal remark.
Click OK.
If the seats were returned to a supplier, the returned seats are subtracted from the total number of seats in the class. If the seats were returned to a travel agent, the returned seats are added to the total number of seats in the class (from which they were sold). If seats were originally transferred from a different class, the returned seats are added back to the class from which they were originally transferred.
Locate the class you want to edit.
Click the Edit
icon in the row of the class.
The following details are enabled for editing:
Hub: Select the hub of the flight from the drop-down list.
Min/Max Days: Define the minimum number and maximum number of days that must exist between the flight's departure and return.
Not Stand-Alone: Select the Not stand-alone check box if this class is used for a static package or self-operated tour.
Agent (only in a class not yet sold to a travel agent): Select the travel agent to associate with this class. If defined, only this travel agent will be able to sell the seats in this class.
B2B&B2C: Select the B2B and B2C check box if seats in this class can be sold via the B2B and B2C selling channels.
Click
to save the changes or
to revert.
Locate the class you want to delete.
A class cannot be deleted if seats have been taken. In a class in which seats have not been taken, the seats must first be returned to the supplier before the class can be deleted. |
Click the Delete
icon in the row of the class.
The following message is displayed:
Click Yes to delete.
Click Click here to buy new seats.
The Buy Seats dialog box is displayed.
