Adding an event to a bundled package

This topic explains how to add an event to a bundled package, and is also included in the process of creating an event-led bundled package.

If you are in the process of creating a bundled package, skip to step 3.

  1. Search for the bundled package you want to edit.

  2. Click the Edit icon in the row of the bundled package.

    The bundled package is displayed.

  3. In the Definitions section, select Event led package.

    The Event led expander is displayed.

  4. In the Event Dates field, enter the earliest arrival and latest departure dates and times for the event.

  5. If you want the flights displayed in the reservation system to be determined according to the event dates, select Package Dates must be prior to the event start date and time and after the event end date and time.

  7. If you want to enable the event to be removed from the package, select Event can be removed.

  8. To add an activity contract, in the table, click Click here to add a new item.

  9. A Product List dialog box appears. On this page you can search for an activity contract.

    1. Enter the relevant search parameters for the activity, and click Find.

      Select the destination of the activity. This is a mandatory field.

      Name

      Enter the name of the activity contract

      Supplier

      Select an activity supplier

      Category

      Select the activity category

      Price Level

      Select an activity price level

      Contracts matching the search criteria are displayed in the results section.

 

 

Price levels are displayed  at the drop-down on the right of the Event section, starting with the cheapest, followed by more expensive price levels in ascending order.

 

    1. Click the Plus icon + in the row of the required activity contract.

    2. In the Day number field, select the day number of the bundled package on which the activity takes place.

    3. Enter the start and end times for the activity:

    4. Click Done.

    5. Click Close at the bottom of the list.

    You can only add one activity contract to your package, but you can add different price levels from the same contract.

    Once an activity is added, the Event led package option becomes greyed out. If you want to clear this option, you need to remove the activity first.

    The cost of the activity is included in the price of the package. It is not an added-on cost.

  1. In the Website Header and the Mobile and Tablet Header fields, click Choose File to upload an image to be displayed in the Reservations System in the flight and hotel selection page.
  2. The maximum picture size for desktops is 950 pixels wide by 110 pixels high. The maximum picture size for tablets and mobile devices is 768 pixels width. The maximum file size is 4194.3 KB. Supported file type: *.jpg
  3. In the Default Markup field, enter the markup for the activity component of the package.

  4. The markup defined in the event-led package overrides markup definitions for activities, in the Markup Definitions module.
  5. Click Save and Exit, or continue to select the airline to include in the bundled package.
