Prerequisites

Before setting up the Silverbyte interface in the system, you need to provide Silverbyte with your IP address.

Silverbyte needs to provide you with a:

• User name

• Password

• Customer ID

Setting Up the Interface

Setting up the Silverbyte interface includes 2 stages:

1. Interface Configuration

2. Configuration of online hotel display rules

Interface Configuration

1. Go to Setup – Business Environment - Supplier Accounts - New Item.

2. Create a supplier account for Silverbyte as described in Setup - Business Environment - Supplier Accounts - New Item.

   Note the account currency should be USD.

3. In the Services expander of the supplier account, define hotel as a service.

4. The Income Type should be Comm VAT Exempt, and the amount is determined according to your commercial agreement with Silverbyte.

5. Open the Online Supplier expander of the supplier account.

6. In the CRS Interface field, select Silverbyte from the drop-down list.

7. Select the Active check box.

8. Click the link in the text: Click here to update interface properties.

   The configuration dialog box for Silverbyte is displayed:

   

9. Enter the configuration details:

   1. In the User name field, enter the user name supplied to you by Silverbyte.

   2. In the Password field, enter the password supplied to you by Silverbyte.

   3. In the Unsecured URL field, enter the unsecured URL you provided Silverbyte:

      http://webbnb.com/SilverAPI.asmx

   4. In the Secured URL field, enter the secured URL you provided Silverbyte:

      https://secure.webbnb.com/SilverAPI.asmx

   5. In the Customer id field, enter the customer id supplied to you by Silverbyte.

   6. Mandatory. In the Select Default Country field, select a country.

   7. TBA Users only. Select Debug Flag to create XML files on the server.

   8. Click Save.

10. Click Match Destinations.

Click here for more information on the Match Destinations process. This process can take several minutes to complete. The Match Destinations process works as follows: The process runs on all the destinations returned from the interface and saved in the system. When matching destinations: The following characters are ignored: dash (-), and apostrophe ('). For example, if Silverbyte returns New-York and the destination saved in the system is New York, the process will ignore the dash and match the destinations. And vice-versus if the destination returned is New-York and the destination saved in the system is New York. The following words are ignored: island, isle, isla, district, prefecture, and area. The process is not case sensitive. For example if the interface returns Manhattan Island, and the destination saved in the system is Manhattan, the process will ignore the word Island and match the destinations. The process converts the words St and Sankt to Saint. For example, if  Silverbyte returns St. Joseph and the destination saved in the system is Saint Joseph, the process confirms St to Saint and match the destinations.

A table is displayed, presenting the destination values in the local database with those in the supplier’s database.



A supplier destination value with a corresponding identical local destination value is automatically matched and the two values appear on the same row in the table. Rows with unmatched values appear at the beginning of the table, followed by the matched values.

11. Map the unmatched supplier destination values.

    • Click by the supplier destination value to automatically add the supplier destination value to the local database and map the supplier value to the local value.

      Use this action with caution as this action copies the supplier's destination value to your database and in some cases may result in duplicate values. For example: If your local database includes the value London and the supplier's database includes London, UK Then, the action copies London, UK to your database, after which both London and London, UK will be included in your database. It is recommended to consult your Account Manager prior to mapping the supplier destination values.

    • To map manually:

    • 1. Click by the supplier destination value. A drop-down list of local database destinations will be displayed. Select the relevant local database entry to match the supplier value.

      2. Click to save the entry or to revert.

    • To map the supplier destination value to more than one value in the local database:

    • 1. Click  and select Multiple Mapping.

         A multi-selection list which includes all the local destination values is displayed.

      2. Click the destination values in the Not Selected list to map to the supplier destination value. These values are displayed in the Selected list.

      3. To save the mapping, click Save.

12. After completing the mapping process, click Save in the Silverbyte configuration page.

13. Click Save on the main page.

Configuration of online hotel display rules

1. Go to Products - Online Hotel Display Rules.

2. Click Import Hotels.

The Import Hotels page is displayed.



3. In the Online Supplier field, select Silverbyte from the drop-down list. This is a mandatory field.

4. In the Destination field, select the destinations for which you want to import hotels.

5. If you want the imported hotels to override existing hotels, select Update existing hotels.

6. Click Import.

7. Click Save and Exit.

2. Maximum number of rooms: 3

3. There is no specification for the number of rooms available. The interface indicates "A" (for available).

4. Supplements are not supported through the interface (special meals/ baby bed/ etc).

5. *The interface does not return the price breakdown, only the total price of the query is displayed.

6. ** Travel Booster displays any special promotions coming across from the interface with a special icon advising that this is a special promotion displayed in results page (hover over) and in the form of confirmation it appears as nonrefundable or discounted advanced rate.

For non-refundable to appear in the Cancellation Fee Policy module, in the Rule definitions tab, you need to select Enabled.

7. ***Israel Google map is supported only as a satellite view (satellite view can be set as a default view).

8. **** No. of nights for cancellation fees are configured under the interface credentials, based on the agreement between the client and GOC.

9. ***** If supplier remarks are coming across from interface, they are displayed during the availability phase.

10. ****** Prices per market are supported. For each market, the client will receive user name and  password from GOC, which are configured in the interface credentials in Travel Booster.

11. Cancelation fees are displayed before and after the reservation.

To display and trigger cancellation fees in the Reservations System, in the cancellation fee policy module, in the Rule definitions tab, select enabled.

12. There are no static files for this interface.

13. Location search is not supported (city center, beach, etc.). The location can be used and searched only when using the online hotel display rules.

14. The interface supports multi-language property information. However, passenger details must be in English.

15. Meal plans: If a hotel adds a new meal plan which is not recognized by the system, a number will appear instead of a board base, in this case please send your project manager the number and the description and the company will add the missing board base.

16. When adding or deleting a remark to an online transaction, a new reservation record with the same details is created, the remark is added or deleted, and the old transaction is cancelled.

17. When. a hotel reservation is successfully created, the travel file number is sent to Silverbyte, allowing the travel company to use the travel file number in communications with the interface.
