This page is used to define options pertinent to the hotel service in the Reservation System.
The following three expanders are used for defining the options:
Query: this expander contains options pertaining to the hotel query parameters.
Display: this expander contains options pertaining to the display of the hotel results.
General: this expander contains additional options pertaining to the sale of hotel products in the Reservation System.
Twin: Select this option to display the Twin option (2 twin beds instead of one double bed) when a query is performed for 2 adults.>
Results will only be obtained if the hotel price is associated with the hard-coded price component representing an adult in a twin room. |
Double for single occupancy: Select this option to display the Double Room option when a query is performed for one adult.
Filter by hotel facilities: Select this option to display the Hotel Facilities filter in the hotel query pane.
Users can only filter hotels according to the 16 facilities that are hardcoded into the system. |
Filter by hotel attributes: Select this option to display the Hotel Attributes filter in the hotel query pane.
Display advanced search options: Select this option to display the Advanced Search options by default in the single row hotel query user interface.
For B2E and Israeli customers of certain interfaces, a flag called Apply search to domestic travel is displayed on the Hotel Query Page. When the flag is checked, the travel file for this reservation is defined as Domestic. |
Minimum days before departure: From the drop-down list, select the minimum number of days that must exist between the travel file start date and the check-in date.
All dates before the minimum check-in date will be automatically unavailable in the date picker. |
Default number of nights: From the drop-down list, select the default number of nights in the hotel query.
Maximum number of nights: From the drop-down list, select the maximum number of nights that can be selected in the hotel query.
Maximum number of rooms: From the drop-down list, select the maximum number of rooms that can be included in the hotel query.
Radius: Enter the maximum distance, in miles, from the destination to display in the search results hotels reserved through a GDS.
Maximum number of adults in room: From the drop-down list, select the maximum number of adults that can be accommodated in one room.
This is the highest number that is displayed in the Adults drop-down list. |
Maximum number of children in room: From the drop-down list, select the maximum number of children that can be accommodated in one room.
This is the highest number that is displayed in the Children drop-down list. If the number of adults is below the maximum, additional children can be added to the booking. For example, if the maximum number of adults is 2 and the maximum number of children is 2, a hotel room can be booked for 1 adult and 3 children. |
Activate Rooming List: Select this option to define the room combinations that, if used in the query, can produce results.
In the Not Selected list, click the arrow by a room combination to include it in the Selected list.
Select a Language: Select the language that should be used with the hotel category titles you choose to edit, and the hotel categories displayed in the Reservations System.
Enter a title for each of the following categories: If you want to change the name of the hardcoded star rating hotel categories, next to each category name enter the name of the category to be displayed in the Reservations System. If no value is entered, the default star rating is displayed for that category.
Only selected categories: Select this option to define the categories for which hotels will be displayed in the Reservation System. Only those hotels belonging to the categories selected will be displayed. This option applies to hotels from both internal contracts and content interfaces.
In the Not Selected list, click the arrow by a category to include it in the Selected list.
Sort displayed results by: Select the method according to which hotel results will be displayed:
Select Name to display results according to hotel name in alphabetical ascending order.
Select Price to display results according to hotel price in ascending order.
Select Availability to display results with status OK followed by results with status On Request.
Select Recommended to display results in ascending order according to the priority defined in the hotel contract.
Hide phones: Select this option to not display the hotel phone number in the Details tab.
Display results with required minimum nights: Select this option to display results with a minimum night requirement greater than the number of nights in the hotel query.
Display reviews: Select this option to display reviews from Feelter.
Show No Sale allocation as On Request: Select this option to display results - for dates with a No Sale allocation - with status On Request.
Number of hotels to display per page: Enter the number of hotel results to display in the static package search results. As the user scrolls down the page additional hotels will be added at the bottom.
Only hotels with availability: Select this option to include only hotels with status OK in the results.
Display internal contracts first: Select this option to display in the search results hotels from internal contracts before hotels are returned from content interfaces.
Travel file attribute: From the drop-down list, select the travel file attribute that, by default, will be added to a travel file for a hotel service.
Save arrival and departure details as a transaction remark: Select this option to display the passenger's arrival and departure details as transaction remarks in the Services section of the travel file. The Add arrival and departure details option in Setup - Website Definitions - Miscellaneous must also be selected.
These details can be edited in the travel file using Actions - Change details.
Display price level per room messages: If you are working with content interfaces in which you can select different price levels per room, you can choose to display a message alerting users of this feature. When this option is selected, when a user enters the Hotel Details page, the following message is displayed: Please note, you are booking multiple rooms, please make sure to select a Room type for each room. After the user is finished selecting price levels, and clicks Continue, the following message is displayed: Please make sure you have selected the desired room type for all rooms. Click OK to continue or Cancel to update.
Update supplier and mailing list when allocation is less than [x]: Select this option to inform the supplier and a select mailing list when any daily allocation balance is less than the number defined in this field.
In the Mailing list field, enter the e-mail addresses of the mailing list members. Separate more than one e-mail address with a semicolon.
Cross-sale: Select this option to offer additional services in the hotel booking process.
Select Offer flight to offer flights in the hotel booking process. If flight results are added to the hotel travel file, the booking process will change to that of a dynamic package. (This option is not yet functional).
Select Offer additional services to offer all additional services in the destination (except flights) in the hotel booking process.
