This page is used to add a new e-mail engagement rule or to edit an existing rule.
Go to Setup – Marketing - E-mail Engagement Rules.
Click Click here to add a new item.
The New item page is displayed.
In the Name field, enter the name of the e-mail engagement rule.
Define the e-mail trigger(s) relevant to the e-mail message:
Travel File Open Date +: Send the e-mail message to the customer [x] number of days after the travel file has been opened.
Recommended use: This e-mail trigger can be used when sending a message for the purpose of cross-selling a service not yet reserved by the customer.
Travel File Start Date -: Send the e-mail message to the customer [x] number of days before the first service in the travel file begins.
Recommended use: This e-mail trigger can be used when sending a message for the purpose of cross-selling a service not yet reserved by the customer.
Travel File End Date +: Send the e-mail message to the customer [x] number of days after the travel file has ended.
Recommended use: This e-mail trigger can be used when sending a message thanking the customer for purchasing services or for requesting feedback regarding the services used.
Travel File End Date -: Send the e-mail message to the customer [x] number of days before the travel file has ended.
Recommended use: This e-mail trigger can be used when sending a message to the customer while the customer is still travelling.
Travel file left to pay greater than <x> in travel file currency: Send the e-mail message for travel files with a negative left to pay amount in the travel file currency greater than the amount entered in this field. This option is added to the other e-mail trigger selected in the radio buttons above.
Recommended use: This e-mail trigger can be used when sending a message to customers with an outstanding debt in their travel file .
In the Missing services for cross-selling section, select the service (one or more) which must be missing from the travel file in order for the e-mail message to be sent.

Define the content of the e-mail message:
In the Language field, select the language associated with the e-mail message.

If the language associated with the e-mail engagement rule is different from the language associated with the passenger, the e-mail engagement rule will not be sent. The passenger's language is defined in Setup - Website Definitions - UI Design, in the Default login page language field. |
In the Subject field, enter the subject that will be displayed in the e-mail message sent to the customer.
Select one of the following options:
E-mail template: Upload an XSL file with a custom template for the e-mail message.
Content: Enter the content of the e-mail message using free text and any of the following fields:

The service type (one or more) missing from the customer's travel file. |

Note the following:
Insert the field exactly as displayed in the table above (including the < and > symbols)
The field text is case sensitive.
In the Hyperlink text field, enter the text that is the link to the customer's travel file.
Click Save.
