Setup - Marketing - E-mail Engagement Rules - New Item

This page is used to add a new e-mail engagement rule or to edit an existing rule.

To add a new e-mail engagement rule

  1. Go to Setup Marketing - E-mail Engagement Rules.

  2. Click Click here to add a new item.

    The New item page is displayed.

  3. In the Name field, enter the name of the e-mail engagement rule.

  4. Define the e-mail trigger(s) relevant to the e-mail message:

  5. In the Missing services for cross-selling section, select the service (one or more) which must be missing from the travel file in order for the e-mail message to be sent.

    This section is displayed only if the following e-mail triggers are selected:

    • Travel File Open Date +

    • Travel File Start Date -

  6. Define the content of the e-mail message:

    1. In the Language field, select the language associated with the e-mail message.

    2. If the language associated with the e-mail engagement rule is different from the language associated with the passenger, the e-mail engagement rule will not be sent.

      The passenger's language is defined in Setup - Website Definitions - UI Design, in the Default login page language field.

    3. In the Subject field, enter the subject that will be displayed in the e-mail message sent to the customer.

    4. Select one of the following options:

      • E-mail template: Upload an XSL file with a custom template for the e-mail message.

      • Content: Enter the content of the e-mail message using free text and any of the following fields:

        Field

        Description

        <First Customer Name>

        The name of the first passenger in the travel file.

        <Booking Num>

        The number of the customer's travel file.

        <Destination>

        The destination of the travel file.

        <Missing Service Type>

        The service type (one or more) missing from the customer's travel file.

        <Company Name>

        Your company's name.

        Note the following:

        • Insert the field exactly as displayed in the table above (including the < and > symbols)

        • The field text is case sensitive.

      • Click here for a detailed example.

    5. In the Hyperlink text field, enter the text that is the link to the customer's travel file.

  7. Click Save.
