Setup - Geography - Destinations - New Item

This page is used to define a new destination or to edit an existing one.

To define a new destination

1. Go to Setup – Geography – Destinations.

2. Click Click here to add a new destination.

   The New item page is displayed.

3. In the Destination Name field, enter the name of the destination. This is a mandatory field.

4. In the IATA Code field, enter the 3-letter IATA code of the destination.

5. In the Country field, select the country of the destination from the drop-down list.

6. In the Region field, select the region of the destination from the drop-down list.

7. In the Latitude and Longtitude fields, enter the destination's coordinates

8. Select the Service Type Options to associate with the destination.

The destination only appears for the services selected here. This applies both to the customer, and the system user. Example: If you selected Flight and Hotel as the service type options, the destination appears in all flight and hotel related queries, but not in car and activity selections, or any of the other service not selected. Also, you will be unable to create self-operated tours, or cruise contracts for this destination because these services were not selected as service options.

9. The destination only appears for the services selected here.

10. Click Save.
