Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations

To access and perform actions in the module:

Assign the permit Update Setup Menus

Car rental station entries define specific rental stations where cars can be picked up and dropped off. Each car rental station is operated by a specific supplier in a specific destination (either city or airport).

To search for an existing car rental station

  1. Go to Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations.

  2. Use one or more of the following search parameters (either Car Rental Company or Destination is mandatory):

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter part (first letters) or all of the car rental station name.

    Car Rental Company

    Select the car rental company from the drop-down list.

    Destination

    From the drop-down list, select the destination in which the car rental company is located.

  3. Click Find.

    4. Car rental stations matching the search criteria are displayed in the results section.

To add a new car rental station

  1. Go to Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations.

  2. Click Click here to add a new station.

  3. Define the car rental station as described in Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations - New Item.

To edit an existing car rental station

  1. Locate the car rental station you want to edit as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the car rental station.

  3. Edit the car rental station as described in Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations - New Item.

To copy an existing car rental station

  1. Locate the car rental station you want to copy as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the car rental station name.

    A new car rental station is created with the following name:

    [Name of original car rental station] [duplicate number in current session]

  3. Define the car rental station as described in Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations - New Item.

To delete an existing car rental station

  1. Locate the car rental station you want to delete as described above.

  2. Click in the row of the car rental station name.

    The following message is displayed:
