Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations - New Item

To define a new car rental station

Station Information

  1. Go to Setup - Product Definitions - Car - Stations.

  2. Click Click here to add a new station.

    The New item page is displayed.

  3. In the Station Name field, enter the car rental station name.

  4. Mandatory. In the Car Rental Company field, select the car rental company (supplier) from the drop-down list.

  5. Mandatory. In the Destination field, from the drop-down list, select the destination in which the car rental station is located.

    A new destination can be added by clicking <Add New Destination...> at the end of the drop-down list.

  6. In the Radius in Miles field, enter the number of miles between the city center (of the destination) and the car rental station.

  7. Mandatory. In the Station Code field, enter the unique code of the car rental station as supplied to you by the car rental company.

  8. In the Station Type field, select the station type: City, Airport, Train or Port.

  9. If you selected Airport, in the IATA Airport Code field, enter the IATA airport code of the airport in which the car rental station is located.

  10. In the Opening Times section, enter the opening hours of the car rental station for all days of the week.

  11. In the Remark field, enter a remark pertinent to the car rental station that will be displayed only in this page.

  12. If relevant, continue to the Address & Phones section.

    To deactivate a station, select Not Active. Not active stations are not displayed in the Reservations System.

  13. Click Save.

Address & Phones

  1. In the Address field, enter the street address of the car rental station.

  2. In the City field, enter the city in which the car rental station is located.

  3. In the Postal Code field, enter the postal/zip code for the above address.

  4. In the Province/State field - if relevant - enter the province/state in which the car rental station is located.

  5. In the Country field, from the drop-down list, select the country in which the car rental station is located.

  6. In the Latitude field, enter the latitude coordinates for the above address.

  7. In the Longitude field, enter the longitude coordinates for the above address.

    The latitude and longitude coordinates are used for displaying the car rental station in map view in the Reservation System.

  8. In the Phones field, enter the phone/fax numbers belonging to the car rental station.
