Creating a new region

This topic explains how to create a new region.

• How

1. Go to Setup – Geography – Regions.

2. Click Click here to add a new region.

   The New item page is displayed.

3. In the Region Name field, enter the name of the region. This is a mandatory field.

4. Select the Service Type Options to associate with the region.

The region is only relevant for the services selected here.

Click here for more information.  The region only appears for the services selected here. This applies both to the customer, and the system user. For example: If you selected Flight and Hotel as the service type options, the destination appears in all flight and hotel related queries, but not in car and activity selections, or any of the other service not selected. Also, you will be unable to create self-operated tours, or cruise contracts for this destination because these services were not selected as service options.

5. Click Save.
