Copying an existing transaction fee

This topic explains how to copy an existing transaction fee. You can copy an entire transaction fee rule, or only part of the rule.

• How

1. Go to Business Rules – Transaction Fee Policy.

   

2. Enter the search parameters.

Field	Description
Event	Select the transaction fee event from the drop-down list.
Direct Sale/Agent/C. Client	Select the target of the transaction fee: Direct Sale or Agents/C. Client. If you select Agent/C. Client, you can select a specific travel agent/corporate client or all travel agents/corporate clients.
Market	Select from the drop-down list, the market the direct sale or travel agent/corporate client is associated with. By default all available markets are selected.
From Date	Select the beginning of the date range in which the transaction fee rule is valid
To Date	Select until when the transaction fee is valid
Service Type	Select the service type from the drop-down list
Service Provider	Select the service provider from the drop-down list. For flights this field refers to the ticketing airline. If a service type is selected, only relevant service providers are displayed.
GDS	Select the GDS from the drop-down list.
Destination	Select the destination from the drop-down list. If a service type is selected, only destinations available for that service type are displayed.

The search parameters are hierarchal. From general to specific. For Example: If you are searching for transaction fee rules using the Direct Sale and Hotel parameters, Hotel is included in Direct Sale. Therefore, the search results will display all All direct sale business rules, including direct sale business rules defined for hotels.

3. Click Find.

Transaction fee rules matching the search criteria are displayed in a diagram in the results section.



The transaction fee rules are organized hierarchically from general to specific.

4. In the row of the transaction fee you want to copy, click next to the relevant parameter, and select Copy Item.

All the parameters to the left of the selected parameter, and the transaction fee amount/percentage are copied.

Click here for a detailed example. For example: Copying the Event parameter, only copies the event into the new transaction fee rule. Copying the Dates parameter. copies the dates, market, direct sale/travel agent/corporate client, and event into the new transaction fee rule. Copying the Service type parameter, copies the dates, , market, direct sale/travel agent/corporate client, and event into the new transaction fee rule.

The New item page is displayed with the copied parameters.



5. Edit the transaction fee rule as required.
