SIPP Codes

SIPP codes are used for defining car rental reference categories. These are standard codes used for summarizing key features of a vehicle. The code is normally 4 characters long:

  1. The first letter describes the vehicle Class

  2. The second letter is the vehicle type

  3. The third letter is the transmission type

  4. The fourth letter specifies the fuel and whether air conditioning is available.

For example:

CDMR = Compact 4/5 door manual car with air conditioning, which can be one of many different makes/models.
